Nature's Inspiration UK
About Me
Nature's Inspiration was created by Emma during the first lockdown in 2020 when she was furloughed and rediscovering her love of nature, gardening, photography and crafting.
After travelling every continent in the world and a long career working within the travel industry working as a consultant creating tailored itineraries to Latin America for her clients. She settled down in Cheltenham, close to her home town in Gloucestershire with her partner Ben ready to start a family 10 years ago.
Since her son, Thomas, was born she has worked alongside a local breastfeeding charity she was passionate about and through taking her son to baby swimming lessons decided to train up as a teacher at nearly 40 years old which fits well around being there for her family.
Emma has always been passionate about nature and the environment from creating awareness of endangered species embarking upon sponsored walks for the WWF as a child and throughout her career in travel she has always been environmentally conscious and working with likeminded suppliers and a specialist tour operator for 7 years.
From visiting The Galapagos Islands, planting a tree to offset her travels to spending time in a wildlife rehabilitation centre in Bolivia, helping to feed baby manatees in the Peruvian Amazon and visiting local schools and taking provisions, she has had some incredible experiences during her travels.
With a wealth of experience, discovery, passion for photography, the great outdoors and creative flair, she decided to try her hand at making resin jewellery with botanicals. With some new found time in lockdown, alongside home-schooling her son in preschool, she soon became addicted! Her friends and family started purchasing gifts so Nature's Inspiration UK was born and Emma's Etsy shop opened in September 2020.
Almost at 100 sales on Etsy (plus more from commissions and collaborations) and a year on from when she first started she decided to rebrand a new logo and create a standalone website.
She is passionate about the environment (see sustainability) and grows and presses most of her botanicals in her trusty flower presses plus works only with vegan non-toxic resin produced by a UK company and pigments by another small Cotswold business who share similar visions.
Emma creates and tutors workshops for resin jewellery, artwork, homewares and gifts with a strong nature theme and also takes commissions and collaborations (see commissions) so do contact her if you are looking for something more personalised or unique (contact me).
